We’re excited to introduce Waizu 5.2, a powerful upgrade that enhances visibility, operational control, and smart equipment management across complex shift environments.
Here’s what’s new in version 5.2:

Improved Indoor Locationing for Meter Level Accuracy
Waizu now supports high-precision indoor locationing that can pinpoint shared devices and tagged assets to within 1 metre. Whether it’s a missing scanner or misplaced tote, your team can now locate items faster, reducing downtime, shrinkage, and shift delays.
This upgrade significantly improves loss prevention and audit-readiness, especially in large facilities with high-value equipment.
Track More Than Just Devices
Waizu now supports Virtual Smart Equipment Cabinets, enabling teams to track shared assets like ring scanners and safety gear with the same accountability as mobile devices. No more manual logs, just total visibility.
On-Device Risk Alerts
Dropped or mishandled devices now trigger instant, on-screen risk alerts. These are logged and can be cleared by managers after inspection — reducing damage and reinforcing accountability in the moment.
Honeywell Smart Battery Health Monitoring
Battery-related issues are a leading cause of shift disruption. That’s why Waizu 5.2 brings smart battery insights to Honeywell devices — including cycle counts and predictive health scores. Now, mixed fleets running Zebra and Honeywell can identify aging or failing batteries before they cause mid-shift failures. Get ahead of device downtime and reduce replacement costs with smarter, proactive maintenance.

BLE Tags, Now in the Web UI
Waizu BLE tag tracking is no longer mobile-only. Operational and IT teams can now monitor tagged assets directly from the Web Console, improving visibility and recovery across sites.
Battery Swap Workflow Support
For environments that use battery chargers instead of docks, Waizu now offers a Battery Swap Virtual Cabinet. This ensures device return is accurately tracked even when no charging status is available.
More Control for Managers
When a manager logs in, they unlock powerful tools: move devices across cabinets, inspect stress alerts, and access Cockpit, without extra permissions.
Cleaner, Smarter Interface
Redesigned dashboard icons now clearly show if a device is in the right cabinet, in use, missing, or not logged out properly, helping supervisors make fast decisions on the floor.

Smarter Serial Number Retrieval for Mixed Fleets
To further support Honeywell, Zebra, and Datalogic customers, Waizu now retrieves device serial numbers directly through SDK integration. This ensures more consistent and reliable data for audits, asset tracking, and compliance, especially in environments where MDM systems may fall short.
And More:
- “Light Mode” Cockpit UI for general users (view-only)
- Raise IT tickets from the Web Console with smart routing and NFF prevention
- Improved indoor BLE accuracy for near-metre level precision
